Jeremy Longley
Chief Executive
Jeremy, 43, graduated from London University in 1989 and quickly established himself as a successful publishing
and new media entrepreneur, forming and running businesses with partners such as BSkyB and Carlton TV. He has been
actively involved in the betting and gaming sector for over ten years, acting as a consultant to a number of global
brands including Ladbrokes plc and Gala Coral Ltd. He joined Betex in 2005 and became the Head of UK Operations in May 2005.
Simon Spector
Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary
Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974. His career includes time as a partner in a large accountancy
practice based in the City of London and Home Counties. He has had his own consultancy and accountancy practice
for the past 20 years specialising in computerised accounting systems and working with growing companies, acting
as finance director for a number of them. Simon has been with Betex Group plc since 2005 and was instrumental
in its successful move to OFEX.
Jack Sun
Chief Operating Officer
Jack has over eight years of international finance experience and is a member of the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA). He graduated with a business accounting degree from Oxford Brookes University
and an MSc in international business from Birkbeck College, University of London. He is proficient in UK GAAP
and experienced in rationalising international accounting operations and implementing modern performance
measures across entire business operations. Previous positions include China Country Manager, Corporate Financial
Director and Group Financial Accountant of OILSpace Inc.
John Blower
Non-Executive Director
John Blower has founded and provided start-up capital and management to many private and listed companies
including Warmplan, which was sold to Seaflame plc; Chamberlain Properties which was sold to Taylor Woodrow,
Wakeworth Finance Ltd (Mortgage Support Services) of which John is Chairman, and Waste Management Inc, a
NASDAQ multi-billion dollar company which, as its name implies, specialises in the disposal of waste
products. In 2001, John provided start-up capital for SportingBet plc and put together a Board of Directors
who took the company on to OFEX, where it became the most successful company to have launched on that
Market. The company graduated to AIM, to become the largest Internet gaming company in the world. John
recently retired as a director of that company, in order to focus his attention on Betex.
David F. Cowham
Non-Executive Director
David brings over 34 years of experience in the Finance Industry to the Betex board. He served as CEO
of First National Bank plc from 1988-1994 and more recently was a director and Chairman of Loans.co.uk plc
from 1995-2001. David was also a seed capital investor in Sportingbet plc in 2001.
Alexander Viscount Franckenstein
Non-Executive Director
Alexander, 42, brings a wealth of 17 years of Corporate and Investment Banking experience to the Betex board,
with appointments in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Zurich. He held various senior management positions with
HypoVereinsbank, Swiss Bank Julius Bär AG and Bank Sal. Oppenheim jun. & Cie., and more recently as partner
and CEO of BZ Berater Zentrum AG, an independent Swiss Asset Manager in Zürich. Alexander is currently involved
in, and managing, various venture capital and private equity projects. He started his studies in Oxford (PPE),
followed by international economy and business studies in Paris. He is a fellow of Institut Superieur Europeen
de Management, where he completed his postgraduate Diploma and MBA.

Our Board

The Board bring a unique combination of skills and capabilities to the market, with vast experience in the gaming sector. The principal directors of the company have been responsible for the setting up, growth and listing of major betting companies and have considerable expertise in internet gaming, telephone betting, retail bookmaking and lottery operations.
